Chase allowed existing cardholders whose annual renewal dates come before April 1, 2020, to renew for one additional year at $450, but cardholders whose renewals came on or after April 1, 2021, must renew at the new rate. That’s a $100 jump from the previous annual fee of $450. There’s one catch to the good news: Chase announced in early January that Sapphire Reserve’s annual fee is increasing to $550 for applications approved on or after Jan.
